Self-Park : : Vertical Shuttle System PDF Print E-mail

The Vertical Shuttle (CLICK TO SEE MOVIE), sometimes called a Tower System (CLICK TO SEE MOVIE), has replaced the Rotary System because of its simplicity and faster operation. Shuttle systems basically contain an elevator in the center, which raises and lowers a transporter, that moves cars into the parking spaces at each level. These systems can be made any height. When they are built into a high-rise building they are generally placed in the core along with the building elevators and mechanical systems. Sometimes they are built as an attachment to the building and sometimes they are built as stand-alone structures. Some of the newer models have up to 8 parking spaces per level, all serviced by the same centrally located transporter.
